My research interests are at the interface of physics, chemistry, and materials science and are focused on understanding and controling the fabrication of metallic thin films and nanostructures. More information on the Surface Lab can be found here.

News

July 2, 2008. Surface Lab students Tim Boman and John Ouma traveled to Luther College in Decorah, Iowa with Jennifer Hampton from June 29 to July 2 and visited the nanotribology lab of Erin Flater. The purpose of the trip, which was supported by the Midstates Consortium for Math and Science, was to use the atomic force microscope there to characterize electrodeposited iron, nickel, and permalloy thin films.
